Cristina Alonso Andicoberry

Cristina Alonso Andicoberry, degree in Veterinary Medicine from University Complutense of Madrid, MSc with specialisation in bovine leptospirosis, first PhD studies in toxic microalgae in water reservoirs; holds a PhD in Pharmacy from the University Complutense in Madrid on the field of scientific cooperation and literacy. Civil servant of the Spanish Ministry of Health, she has worked for over 10 years at the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN), first at the Risk Assessment Unit, where she gave scientific and technical support on biohazards to AESAN’s Scientific Committee, and later at the International and Scientific Coordination Advisory Office. She has represented Spain at EFSA’s Focal Points Network since 2007 and until her appointment as Engagement & Scientific Cooperation Officer at EFSA in August 2018, where she is currently serving as Scientific Coordinator of the EU-FORA Programme among other capacity building activities.
