Plamen Panayotov holds a degree in Political Science and is currently following further studies in Business Administration. He has gained institutional experience in European Affairs on a national and European level: Ministry for the Bulgarian Presidency for the Council of the EU (2018), European Parliament and European Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA).

He is currently working at EFSA since July 2021 and mainly coordinates projects within the External Engagement and Cooperation Unit.
