Paola Battilani is full Professor in Plant Pathology at the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (IT). She was involved in several projects of national and international research on the ecology of mycotoxin-producing fungi, their interaction with the host, the role of cultural practices and the development of models for predicting fungal growth and mycotoxin production. She coordinated a project funded by the European Commission and two projects funded by EFSA. She authored more than 140 papers in international journals with ISI impact factor, and she is ad hoc referee for 23 international journals.
